SONG Virtual Composition Project 2021

The Hermes Experiment were delighted to present their SONG Virtual Composition Project, which took place in 2021. Designed to withstand the challenges of the current pandemic, the ensemble worked virtually with state secondary school students from five different London boroughs. Students had the opportunity to compose songs for the ensemble and received personalised feedback and recordings. The project culminated with the presentation of an Online Song Gallery, which featured video recordings of participants’ compositions.

This project was funded by Arts Council England through the National Lottery Project Grants – the ensemble are extremely grateful to them.
