Jethro Cooke is a composer and sound designer based in London. Alongside finishing a degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Jethro writes and performs electronic music, composes for theatre and film, designs installations, and is regularly involved in cross-arts collaborations.
Jethro frequently works with innovative theatre company Pigdog, combining composition, production and sound design with live audio processing to help bring their shows to life. Productions include BOAT (Theatre N16, 2015), BLAME (Bath Spa Live, 2016) and Karagula (Soho Theatre, 2016).
Other collaborators include Nico Muhly (Soundscapes exhibition, National Gallery, 2015), Melanie Manchot (The Gift, Bloomberg SPACE, 2015), Shawn Soh, Joe Snape (Synth Nights, The Kitchen, 2014), and The Hermes Experiment (Metropolis, 2015).
Jethro also teaches electronic music and has delivered workshops for the Barbican.
